Free Rob Cannabis

Man on a Mission

Back in the summer of ‘95 I launched the Cannabis Hemp Information Club with the aim of raising peoples awareness about the history and many uses of Cannabis. As far as this aim is concerned I feel that much has been achieved over the last ten years. Hemp clothing has made it onto the shelves of high street shops and Hemp seed food products, although often in an adulterated form, are available in several supermarkets, with Sainsbury’s and Waitrose taking the lead. The interest in Hemp seed foods will no doubt escalate after Dr Gillian Mceath’s program on Hemp foods is shown on National TV in early June.

Though much has been achieved over the last ten years there is still much to be done.

Before moving to Glastonbury I was quite a high profile Cannabis activist and have found that running a business has been a huge distraction and drain on my resources and energy.  The Hemp shop, ‘In Harmony with Nature’, which I opened 8 years ago, has been barley braking even over the years and this coupled with several burglaries has almost pushed me to the point of wanting to jack it all in and move to the southern Mediterranean, where I own some land. As far as running a business is concerned, I have come to realise that I’m just not cut out for it.

It is for these reasons that I am going to stop trading as ‘In Harmony with Nature’ and reopen as ‘Hemp in Avalon’, a ‘not for profit’ organization dedicated to further raising Hemp awareness.

‘Hemp in Avalon’ will have displays on the many uses of the plant, showing how it is processed into various products, along with displays on the fascinating history of Cannabis.

Although raising Hemp awareness through information dissemination is of great importance, I personally am drawn to more direct action.

When the idea of going into a police station with Cannabis and offering yourself for arrest was first proposed to me by a Scottish Cannabis activist, Will Spliff, I thought the idea was crazy. I was controlled by fear. Fear of getting arrested, fear of going to court and possibly ending up in prison. However it was the words of Lotti from the Plowshares direct action group that deeply moved me. Lotti and her friends trashed a Hawk Jet Fighter that was due to be sent to the Indonesian Government. She said that the state uses the fear of prison to keep us in prison. Her and her friends were found not guilty at trial.

It was also reading about the actions of Penn and Mead that also inspired me. Penn and Mead were arrested for preaching to an 'unlawful assembly' in Grace Church Street in 1670, but persuaded the jury to find them 'Not Guilty'. The judge fined and imprisoned the jury for two days without food, for returning their 'Not Guilty' verdict. This was overturned by Chief Justice Vaughan, who established the Right of Juries to give their verdict according to their conviction. There is even a commemorative plaque outside the Old Bailey stating these facts. Basically the jury has the power to overturn unjust laws.

There are many historical examples of this and perhaps the most notable of these is how alcohol prohibition was eventually repelled in the United States. Alcohol prohibition set up the mafia and organised crime syndicates. One on the problems with prohibition is that it breeds corruption. The government of the time were so corruptly involved with the mafia, that there was no political will to end prohibition. The way alcohol prohibition ended was through the courts. During the last four years of alcohol prohibition over half the cases were ending up with not guilty or ‘hung juries’. This was even for cases were people were being caught red-handed selling alcohol. Eventually the police stopped prosecuting people, because they new that it was unlikely that juries would find them guilty. Eventually the government was forced to face up to what was happening and repealed prohibition.

Though all of these things greatly inspired me, it was the smoking of DMT (Dimethyltriptamine) that eventually broke down the Core Fear Matrix program that had been deeply embedded within my psyche.

It was soon after my first deep DMT experience (words alone cannot describe this experience other than saying I felt the presence of God at a deeper level than I had ever done in this lifetime. After connecting with this power how could I possibly be controlled by fear) that I decided to launch the first National Turn Yourself In Day.

So it came to pass that in the Summer of ’96 leaflets were distributed proclaiming:

‘CANNABIS, SOON TO BE LEGALISED, DEFINITELY !’

The leaflet explained the origins of prohibition and how these laws are a gross infringement of Human Rights. The leaflet also went onto explain how the Laws of prohibition only work because people cooperate with the system. By refusing to cooperate with the system, i.e., refusing to accept cautions, refusing to pay fines, the system will collapse. The leaflet finished by encouraging people to challenge the system by taking part in a National Turn Yourself in Day on September 28th 1996, the 68th anniversary of Cannabis prohibition in the UK.

Response to the leaflet was mixed. Most people thought it was a crazy idea, some even thought that it was an undercover police plot to arrest Cannabis consumers on mass. The level of fear surrounding Cannabis at the time became obvious.

The main event took place at Hyde Park speakers corner, where myself and former Cannabis smuggler, Howard Marks gave out several boxes of Hash Cakes before making our way to Marylebone police station, where an appointment had already been made for our arrest. At first we were locked out but I was let in on my own. I explained that as a protest against Cannabis prohibition we had been giving out free Hash cakes. The police responded by saying okay, you’ve proved your point, would you like to leave now please”. The point that had been proved most clearly was that prohibition works through fear. Most people are to scared to stand up for their rights and will accept a caution or pay a fine, rather than go to court and defend their right to Cannabis in front of a jury.

After the police’s refusal to arrest me, I decided to launch the Free Medical Marijuana foundation, with the aim of distributing Cannabis to medical users. The FMMF was launched outside the Department of health on May 23rd 1997 by giving out free Hash cakes.

On September 28th 1997 a second NTYD was held, and again the police refused to arrest anyone. On the same day, the Sunday Independent launched a campaign calling for the decriminalisation of Cannabis.

In the years that passed much of my energy was being diverted towards running ‘In Harmony With Nature’, so rather than further NTYDs, a series of Fully Liberated Cannabis Picnics was held each year. And besides this, I did get arrested several times and each time defended myself in court. Though I was always found guilty, this was very much due to the fact that the judges tended to be very biased against me.

My latest arrest happened in September 2001 for running a public Cannabis auction in Hyde Park. For my first trial I was very focused, having quit smoking Cannabis for 2 months before the case. I also prayed with great devotion that I would have a sympathetic judge and jury and that I would walk free from court. Even I didn’t believe that I could get a ‘Not Guilty’ verdict, but I do now.

The key to my defense has always been Human Rights, in particular article 9 of the European Declaration of Human Rights (a direct copy of article 18 of the UN declaration of Human Rights) that states that

“Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief, in worship, teaching, practice and observance”.

When the European Declaration was being drafted a sub-clause was added in the form of article 9-2. This article states that

“Freedom to manifest one’s religion or beliefs shall be subject only to such limitations as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society in the interests of public safety, for the protection of public order, health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others”.

The British governments claim that the continued enforcement of Cannabis prohibition is valid on the grounds that is protecting public safety, public order and health and morals, is a fraudulent lie.

The truth of the matter is that prohibition is threatening public safety, public order, health and morals.

Not only is this claim by the British government a fraudulent lie, the truth of the matter is that the British government are involved with the importation, taxation and distribution of toxic, addictive drugs that are threatening public safety, causing public disorder and threatening the health of the public as well as threatening the rights and freedoms of others.

The wealth of Britain is historically based on the trade of drugs of addiction such as opium (heroin), sugar, tobacco, alcohol, tea, coffee and now more recently, pharmaceutical drugs. All of these drugs, which the British Government profiteers from in their taxation, are a definite threat to public health. Official figures put the number of deaths from tobacco alone at over 100,000. However, the biggest health risk associated with tobacco use is the fact that it is grown using phosphate fertilisers. It is estimated that between 90 and 99% of deaths attributed to tobacco use are due to the radioactivity. Not only is there a definite threat to public health from these government-controlled drugs, but there is also a threat to health from the suppression of Cannabis. Cannabis is a very versatile plant resource. There is no need to cut down trees to make paper, there is no need to be mining and burning fossil fuels, all of these things are unnecessary and a definite threat to public health. Two summers ago the North Pole melted for the first time in our recorded history. Global warming is a serious threat to our very existence. When the Gulf Stream ceases to operate we could well face an ice age lasting thousands of years. I don’t fancy being covered in a hundred meters of sheet ice and I’m sure you don’t either, so lets do something about it.

I personally feel the only way that Cannabis prohibition will end is through the courts. That is why I intend again to challenge this system by getting arrested.

FREE CANNABIS IN THE PARK 2005

This year on the Yellow Galactic Seed (Sat. Sep. 25th) I will be giving out free Hash cakes and giving a performance of my Rap. At the point where I say ..It’s a plant’ I will produce a plant which I will then take up to Marylebone police station. I will demand to get arrested or get a senior police officer to sign a declaration stating that Cannabis Prohibition violates human rights and that the government are acting illegally by maintaining the Laws of Cannabis prohibition. I personally think there is more likely hood of me getting arrested.

If arrested I will be handing in a defense document explaining that Cannabis prohibition is a breach of Human rights. The defense statement will also explain in great detail the genocidal activities the government are involved in. It will explain how since the 1950’s radioactive waste has been powdered down and mixed into so called ‘phosphate fertilizers’ which farmers have then been spreading on the land to grow toxic, deminaralized food. It will explain the government’s involvement in the licensing and taxation of toxic, addictive drugs, namely refined sugar, tobacco, alcohol and pharmaceutical drugs. It will explain the government’s involvement in the poisoning of water supplies. It will explain the various methods of mind control that governments worldwide are using, namely television and various forms of microwave technology. There is a huge amount of data and evidence that can be used in the presentation of these facts surrounding the government’s genocidal activities, although I could definitely do with a hand collating it all.

One further issue that I may well consider putting in the defense statement is the government’s involvement with the heroine and cocaine trade.

One of the key reasons that the Vietnam war was instigated was so the USA could get a strong foothold in the ‘Golden Triangle’ (the heroin producing areas of South East Asia). Heroin was being shipped back to the US in the body cavities of dead GI’s. The mafia was then distributing this with the assistance of the CIA onto the streets of America. This created a serious social problem in that heroin addicts would be so hooked on smack that they would rob or even kill for their addiction. This created a society living in fear so that the government could then introduce more draconian police powers to curb the problem they had created. The thing is the only arrests were of dealers who didn’t have mafia/CIA protection, so the heroin continued to flow onto the streets and the problem got worse so more powers were given to the police so that eventually virtually all Human Rights were stripped away.

One of the key reasons that the US got involved in the various civil wars in South America was so that they could get a foothold in the cocaine industry. Crack was developed by the CIA to curb fears by the US government that the militant Black Panthers were gaining too much power. Crack has flooded the ghettoes and the associated crime surrounding crack addiction has intensified the fear that Americans leave in constantly.

There is a huge amount of evidence surrounding these facts, however I have come across less evidence surrounding the links between MI5/MI6 and the CIA and how they work together into getting heroine, cocaine and crack onto the streets of Britain. If you know more about this I would love to hear from you.

Weather or not I do mention the Heroine/Cocaine/Government connection or not I’m not sure of as yet. What I will definitely do is fully expose to my best ability, the network of criminal organizations masquerading behind the façade of ‘democratically’ elected governments.

I am so, so much clearer in my life now that I have stopped smoking Cannabis, and feel confident that I can present the facts to a jury that will convince every one of them that Cannabis Prohibition is a conspiratorially fabricated imposture, instigated by corrupt politicians to protect the vested interests of large corporate organizations and that the cultivation, possession of Cannabis is not a criminal offence.

With a Not Guilty verdict behind me I will have set a president that will bring down the laws of Cannabis prohibition. With the end of Cannabis prohibition, we will be free to cultivate and make use of the world’s most valuable natural resource. We will realise that Cannabis is the natural provider of all our basic needs. And when we heal ourselves by communing directly (i.e. eating it raw) with the Tree of Life, Cannabis we will escape from Samsara (the cycle of death and rebirth within the illusion of Babylon) and return to Nirvana as immortal gods in the Garden of Eden, Heaven on Earth. So shall it be.

THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE

If you would like to receive a free Hash cake at this years event please send a letter explaining why, along with an SAE to FCP’05, PO Box 2223, Glastonbury BA6 9YU. See you there. The more people that turn up the better, especially people who are up for bringing a Cannabis plant with them.

Come on now, my brothers and sisters,

 My sweet little co-resistors,

Will you plant some weed in Babylon,

Cos were going to Love, Love, Love down Babylon,

Babylon finally gone!
